Keep Sailing
Tuesday evenings are quiet times at Hollowell, with no racing. This makes it an ideal time to get some practice in and brush up on those sailing skills.
There are a total of 8 Keep Sailing sessions, and you can book on each session individually for just £10 a session. Use of the HSC hire fleet is FREE but if you know which boat you want to use please book it IN ADVANCE on WebCollect. Of course you can use your own boat.
For the Tuesday evenings you should be rigged and ready by 1815 at the latest.
Course Dates:
26 May, Every Tuesday in June, 7, 14 July.
Instructors will be on hand to help you rig and launch and offer advice from the Powerboat. Depending on the mix of attendees requirements we may cover such items as:
a) Start sailing skills ( rigging, tacking and gybing)
b) Basic skills (coming alongside a pontoon, Man over Board, slow boat handling skills)
c) Basics of racing.
Feel free to do as many courses as you want to build your confidence.
