Event Information
There are prizes for the overall Midlands Area Champion and the Junior (12 and under) champion. In addition we have prizes for sailors who have not previously been members of an RYA or IOCA training squad. We look forward to welcoming some new faces!
South Staffs Sailing Club will be running this event in line with RYA and Government Covid 19 guidelines. As this will require additional measures, the organising team will focus on delivering an event that is safe and fair. As a consequence, we are unable to offer coaching at this event so sailors will need to be competent to sail around the course in the conditions on the day.
Please enter online before the event as entries on the day will not be accepted. Entry is restricted to 30 sailors initially and only sailors from the Midlands Region as defined in the BYS RTG Regions document.
Online Competitor's Briefing (Updated)
A Mandatory Competitor's Briefing will be held online on Friday 4th August at 6.30pm using Google Meet. All competitors and parents should please attend. Mobile device users may need to install the Google Meet app. A free google account is required and should be set up in advance for any families that do not have one.

Notices to Competitors
Notices to Competitors will be displayed either on this web page (before the Competitor's Briefing) or via the WhatsApp Broadcast group. There are two WhatsApp groups for this event - the "SSSC 5Sep Broadcast" group will be used for official notices and important announcements to competitors and spectators (competitors cannot post to this group). The "SSSC 5Sep Enquiries" group is for competitors and spectators to ask questions of the race management team. All competitors and spectators should please join both groups using these links:

Catering (Updated)
There will be a takeaway drinks and snacks service operating from within the clubhouse during the event. Please remember a face mask must be worn inside the clubhouse.
Organising Authority
The Organising Authority for this event is South Staffordshire Sailing Club ("SSSC"). IOCA Midlands will act as an agent of SSSC in administering entries and managing data (through this web page) and collecting entry fees through online banking (which will be passed on to SSSC). Important Information for RYA Regional Training Groups Applicants
If you are intending to apply for RYA Regional Training Group this autumn, please read the British Youth Sailing Regional Training Groups guidance on the RYA Website.
How To Enter Online
Please enter online using the "Entry Requested" basket at the bottom of this page. Entries will be allocated to sailors who have been in an RYA or IOCA squad and enter before midnight Friday 21st Aug and then entries will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Once you have been allocated an entry your booking will be copied to either the Squad Entry or Non Squad Entry basket below and you will be emailed a request for payment.
