Pre-Zone Squad Bosham Training Winter 18/19
For 2018/19 IOCA South is again running a dual program at Bosham (Sundays) and Spinnaker (Saturdays). Andy Kerr (Head Coach) will be running the same program in both locations, enabling sailors to choose the location/dates that suit them. Note: Sailors must commit to one or other location for all sessions.
The Bosham training will consist of 6 days over the Winter on the following Sundays:
October 14th, November 18th, December 9th, January 6th, February 13rd, March 10th
The aim is develop and improve the sailors boat skills, experience and confidence such that they can rapidly progress through the IOCA Regatta, and Main fleets the following Spring.
Sailors will be assessed and placed into groups dependent on experience, ability as well as other factors to ensure that the groups provide the best training for all sailors. As a practical minimum children taking part must have their own boat and be able to comfortably sail a triangular course in a range of conditions and be willing to race on the water. More advanced sailors, will be taught the methods, skills and tactics necessary to take them to the next level when competing against their peers in open events and then challenge for a place in the zone squads the following Autumn.

Payment is for the full 6 days. Note: priority is given based on date of payment, not on date the order is placed. IOCA South training is usually oversubscribed, so please make your payment promptly to guarantee your sailor's place.
