Welcome to Ipswich Canoe Club

We’re a friendly recreational paddling club that caters for virtually all forms of canoeing and kayaking in and around the Ipswich area. Our members come mostly from the surrounding areas of Suffolk and Essex.

Our activities take place all year round and include evening sessions during the spring/summer, indoor pool sessions during the colder months, plus local and national paddling trips on flat water, white water, sea and surf. In addition to the paddling, we also have various social events throughout the year. Members can take part in training courses, specialised coaching sessions or just go for a sociable paddle.

We welcome newcomers to the sport and have qualified instructors who can provide coaching to paddlers of all ages and ability levels. Have a look around our website to find out more.

Membership

Ipswich Canoe Club operates a non-discriminatory membership policy. Any person who undertakes to behave in the best interest of canoeing shall be eligible for membership.

With the recent rapid growth of Paddlesport the club is extremely popular, with large numbers of new enquiries from paddlers of all abilities. We do what we can to get people on the water as soon as possible, but with limited resources you may find there is a waiting period before we get back to you with a date for your first session.
