Kirkstall Festival 2024 Revised   iCal entry for this event

Leeds CC run a 'come and try it' session at the Kirkstall Festival.  A lot of work but a lot of fun. Volunteers appreciated, for all or part of the day, both on and off the water. Jobs include transporting all the kit to the site in the morning (some go via canoe so you can paddle up), setting up the gazebo and pontoon, taking money, kitting people up in BA's and helmets, helping people in and out of the water on the pontoon, and looking after people on the water, and taking everything back at the end,so there is a job for everyone, no matter what your kayaking skill level!

We expect most people won't be able or want to help out for the full day. When selecting the tickets below, we have split the day up into sessions, and Bankside and On the water.  If you can help out in multiple sessions, please make sure you add a ticket for each session to your basket.

To help on the water you need to be confident enough to tow a swimmer back to the landing stage or recover a capsized boat. And bring your wet gear!

This is a great fundraising event for the club and often make around £500 which is enough for a new boat or a few paddles or other equipment, so please come down and support the club! The more help we get, the easier and more fun the day is!
