2015 RS400 Winters & RS200 Open 21st/22nd March
1. Rules
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing
2. Fees
Entry fees are:
RS400 weekend entry - £35 online, includes 2 evening meals
RS400 Youth (U19) weekend entry - £30 online, includes 2 evening meals
On the day entry is £45 for all 400s
RS200 entry - £12 on line, Saturday racing only
RS200 Youth entry - £10 on line, Saturday racing only
On the day entry is £18 for all 200s
Additional evening meals availale at the galley on the day.
3. Schedule
Registration: from 09.30
RS200s - 4 races scheduled Saturday
RS400s - 3 races scheduled Saturday, 4 Sunday
Briefing: 10.20 on Saturday 21st March for RS200s, additional briefing at 11.20 for RS400s
Saturday 21st March: Warning signal for the RS200 fleet for race 1: 1055 (1 start), warning signal for R400 fleet for race 1 not before 1155 (2 starts)
Sunday 22nd March: Warning signal RS400 fleet: 1025
4. Sailing Instructions
Sailing Instructions are attached and will be emailed automatically when entering online and be displayed at the club
5. Courses
The courses to be sailed will be described in the sailing instructions (windward/leeward planned).
6. Scoring
1 race is required to constitute a series for RS200s
2 races are required to constitute a series for RS400s
Prizes will be awarded according to the number of entries in each fleet, but at least for the first 3 places.
7. Insurance
Each participating boat will be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of at least £3,000,000.
8. Disclaimer of Liability
The safety of a boat and her entire management including insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the owner/person in charge who must ensure that the boat and the crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise in the course of the race. Neither these sailing instructions nor any inspection of the boat limits or reduces the absolute responsibility of the owner/person in charge for the crew, the boat and her management. The race organisers, who are the Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club, and Race Committee shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury howsoever caused to the owner/person in charge or crew as a result of their taking part in the race or races. Moreover, every owner/person in charge warrants the suitability of the boat for the race or races.
9. Cancellation
If cancellation is required due to weather or any other unforeseen event, then this will be notified via the website at least 24 hours before the start time for the event.
