2025 Junior Friday Nights- for Visitors  

Junior Friday Nights- Taster sessions for Visitors (non-members) to Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club.

This is an opportunity to take part in Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club's Junior Friday Nights Sailing, you don't need to be a sailing member of the Sailing Club.

Eligibility

1. All participants must be between 8 and 16 years of age on the 1st day of the event.
2. All participants should be able to swim at least 25 metres.
3. Parents/guardians must be present to look after their child on each evening.
4. No experience is needed for this introduction to sailing. We will use club boats, so you don't need your own boat

The offer

We are offering non-members up to three taster sessions for a nominal sum.

Dates and Times

1. You can only book a maximum of three sessions. The sessions will run between be from the 2^nd May and will run through to the 11^th July 2025
2. Booking closes 24 Hours before the start time.
3. Each evening will commence with a briefing at 18.45 (visitors need to be changed and ready to go afloat)
4. Please arrive by 18:30 at the latest
5. Bring suitable clothing for the weather, preferably a wetsuit, a waterproof top and trainers or similar that can get wet - along with a towel and a change of clothes. We can provide buoyancy aids.
6. All activities are dependant on the weather conditions.
7. Food will be available at the end of the evening session.
8. A taster session will be one Junior Friday Night session.

Costs

Each session will only cost £10.

Training Centre Information

The centre is Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club, located at Green Lane, Lowton, Warrington, WA3 1BQ

The operating area is Pennington Flash.

Courses leading to recognised RYA Stages will be run by formally qualified instructors or coaches. The course fee will include any required course material e.g. logbooks, certificates.

Advanced sessions may be delivered by instructors who do not hold formal qualifications but are simply qualified by experience in the course subject matter.
