Albacore Sprint Open 2024
Albacore Sprint Open Meeting
Organised by Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club
On Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of July '24
The event is governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
The Sailing Instructions will be available at least 3 days before the first scheduled race on the Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club WebCollect event page. See https://webcollect.org.uk/llsc and select this event.
The event is open to all Albacore dinghies
Entry is online only- cash on the day will not be accepted. Eligible boats may only enter the event by registering online via WebCollect.
Entry fee is:

- 50% discount for full club members
Online entry will close on 13th July.
Schedule of Racing
Dates of Racing: Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July 2024.
There will be a competitor briefing on Saturday at 10:30 hrs.
The scheduled time of the Warning Signal for the first race on Saturday is 11:27 hrs.
The scheduled time of the Warning Signal for the first race on Sunday is 09:57 hrs.
10 sprint races are scheduled. The expected schedule is as follows, although this is subject to change:
Saturday:
3 races back to back;
lunch;
2 races back to back;
short break;
1 race.
Sunday:
4 races back to back;
Followed by prize giving and Lunch.
All competitors are invited to camp, caravan or park their motor-homes overnight free of charge. A gate code will be provided on request.
There will be catering in the Galley throughout Saturday, for breakfast barms, lunch, and afternoon tea and cake.
The bar will be open for prize-giving.
The location of the event will be at Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club, Green Lane, Off Sandy Lane, Lowton, Warrington. WA3 1BJ.
