Winter Workshops 2019 - another great line-up
Meet up with like-minded friends at these Wednesday evening workshops where there will be opportunities to brush up your knowledge and engage in some healthy debate.
Sessions will start at 7.15pm prompt, NEW THIS YEAR we will serve dinner & drinks beforehand from 6.30pm. Yvette has put a great menu together so if you're coming straight from work or just fancy a sociable dinner beforehand then book on as she needs to know numbers.
Rules Quiz - a great chance to brush up on your rules knowledge in a fun and interactive session. Dave Eccles will be quizmaster and there will be plenty of time to bring your own questions for our panel to try and answer - can you catch them out?!
Marlow Ropes Show - our winter series sponsors from the rope world will come to teach us how to splice and use modern ropes. Ropes have changed so much over recent years with inner cores, outer cores and plenty of jargon to baffle us - this session will get us hands on to splice for ourselves and understand ropes better.
Boat Maintenance & Care - our in-house expert Mark Hardy from 1st Mark will take us through the steps to make small gelcoat repairs, rudder and centreboard maintenance, and polishing through live demonstrations in the lounge.
Starting Tactics - in preparation for the new season ahead, take a look at techniques for improving you starting tactics. Your Commodore will take you through the options and how to get off the line like Lewis Hamilton!
