Safety Boat Update   iCal entry for this event

This one day update reinforces the skills that you may have already learnt on a RYA safety boat course.

Starting at 9:30am on the Saturday and running till 5pm.

The day will consist of a classroom based discussion on the role of a safety boat, rescue techniques, mark laying and working as part of a training / race management team at club level followed by an on the water session rescuing single handed dinghies and windsurfers.

There will be also be a practical session with opportunities to practice rescuing , double handers, boats with spinnakers/trapeze and catamarans.

What you will need

  • Waterproofs & Warm Clothing
  • Dinghy Sailing Kit (if you have it)
  • Buoyancy aid

A copy of the RYA Safety Boat Handbook is recommended but not required. We have some spares.
