YSS4 Developing Skills  

This is a three day RYA Youth Sailing Scheme Stage 4 course Suitable for ages 8 to 16 with previous sailing experience We would recommend doing some additional sailing beyond your stage 3 course to get the most benefit from this one.

In this course we transition into double handed boats and start to develop teamwork skills.  Building on the variety of practical boat control skills introduced in Stage 3, and enhancing skills such as rigging, launching man overboard, coming alongside and picking up a mooring, we will consolidate those techniques and introduce new ones. We will also develop the theory including tidal information, weather and boat controls to a more advanced level.

• Wet-suit, Buoyancy Aid, Helmet

What you need to bring

• Swimwear, Towel, Drinks, Sun-cream, weather appropriate clothing 

• Spare pair of shoes to wear in the water with closed toes

• Lunch and Snacks

• Water Bottle.

• Start Time 9:30

• Finish time 4:30
