Monday night beginner Slalom training
Our session is 18:15-19:00. We hope you can be ready by 18:00 to either warm up with the other kayakers (if you have been before) or wait for the instructor by the pontoon if this is your first time.

*If you have just stumbled onto us and never Kayaked before or been to any of our taster sessions your first two lessons are free! please email and ask for a consent form.

Message on our whatsapp group if you need help finding kit pre session one of our club parents will come over and help, our coaches will be busy running back to back training sessions prior to the beginner session.
After your first 3 sessions you must become a club member. A junior flat water membership starts at just £5. Find more info under the membership section of our Webcollect page.
Get a taste of Canoe Slalom and find out if you want to be involved in more regular Kayak training and racing. Meet our experienced coaches boasting plenty of international success and our friendly volunteer's. They will be teaching you the basics and taking you through the Paddle UK progress awards. The £10 fee includes equipment use and coaching.
This session does not require you to have our own equipment, some swimming shorts/bottoms or leggings, T-shirt/rash vest, paddling shoes and a thin windproof shell would be best. Please arrive with enough time to get kitted up and on the water for 18:00. Cash is not accepted, please email if you are struggling with the payment system.
Meeting point- Enter venue via main entrance, follow road around to the last car park by the main building. Toilets and changing rooms are behind the centre reception. Our equipment is in the fenced compound where the boat stores are.
Sessions will largely consist of games, mixed skills, techniques, learning gate basics and introducing the paddlers to white water/flow.
From here if you wish to build upon your slalom journey please contact the whatsapp group to show interest in our club Development squad where we will train you up to compete in the sport of Canoe Slalom with 2-3 sessions a week.
