Want to have a go at one of the fastest growing sports worldwide?
If you are aged over 14 years old and are interested in Dragonboat paddling come along and give it a go, you'll make new friends, gain new skills and have a whole lot of fun - no experience necessary.
We meet at 1:30pm and on the water at 2:00pm
Please wear sports wear and windproof jacket (no denim) and bring a drink for the boat
Dragon Boating is an ‘Assumed Risk Water Contact Sport that may carry attendant risks. Participants should be aware of and accept these risks; be responsible for their own actions and involvement; and fully understand that they have a duty of care towards other participants in the sport".
Whilst some forms of “Paddle Sport” have an inherent risk factor, not all paddle sports are a `risk' activity. Dragon Boat Racing, which normally takes place on placid inland waters has a proven very low risk factor. However, no water-based sport can ever be totally safe.
