RYA Safety Boat Course  

Please ensure you have completed the RYA powerboat level 2 prior to taking this course.

This course covers the skills and techniques to provide effective safety cover to a racing dinghies, cruising boats, kayakers and other water users.

The course is conducted mostly on the water by a skilled instructor over 2 days this course will require a minimum of 4 students to run.

What we provide:

1. RYA safetyboat book. (and certificate where applicable)
2. Buoyancy aid.

What you need to provide:

1. Suitable shoes (eg wellies)
2. Towel.
3. full waterproofs.
4. Lunch
5. £1 for lockers (returnable)

Notes:

1. Pre-course information will be sent out approximately 7 days before the course start date.
2. You do not need to be a member of the sailing club to take part in an RYA course.
3. A minimum number of students may apply to each course.

 ANPR Monitoring (parking)

The site is now monitored by ANPR cameras but Sailing Club members, students and guests are exempt by following the procedure below...

1. Parking is only in the lower car park only, first on your right sign posted 'Sailing Club' and 'Draycote Water Sailing Club'
2. Each day of your course or visit you need to regiter your number plate by using a tablet.
3. There will be tablet consoles for you to enter your registration plate in the upstairs foyer by the office, next to the signing-on sheets(lower door) and inside the waterside reception.
4. You can register at any point during your visit.
