RYA Start Windsurfing  

 Start Windsurfing is a 2-day course run by enthusiastic and skilled RYA instructors.

The course takes you from a complete beginner, teaching you the basics of windsurfing and balance that will enable you to enjoy using the water in lighter winds and building confidence.

By the end of the course you will know how to windsurf across the lake and back successfully.

What we provide:

1. logbook (and certificate where applicable)
2. RYA Start Windsurfing book
3. Windsurfing kit
4. Buoyancy aid
5. Wetsuit

What you need to provide:

1. Suitable shoes (e.g. trainers)
2. Towel
3. Swimwear for underneath the wetsuit
4. Lunch
5. £1 for lockers (returnable)

Please note the videos are for extra information and and idea of what you will be doing, the syllabus, teaching methods and equipment are those set by the RYA start windsurfing scheme.

Notes:

1. Pre-course information will be sent out approximately 7 days before the course start date
2. You do not need to be a member of the sailing club to take part in an RYA course
3. Minimum numbers may apply in order to run these courses
4. Minimum age 12 and under 16's must have an adult booked on the course too

ANPR Monitoring (parking)

The site is now monitored by ANPR cameras but Sailing Club members, students and guests are exempt by following the procedure below...

1. Parking is only in the lower car park only, first on your right sign posted 'Sailing Club' and 'Draycote Water Sailing Club'
2. Each day of your course or visit you need to register your number plate by using a tablet.
3. There will be tablet consoles for you to enter your registration plate in the upstairs foyer by the office, next to the signing-on sheets(lower door) and inside the waterside reception.
4. You can register at any point during your visit.
