What is the NACF?

We are an association of Catholic families who give one another mutual moral, spiritual and social support. We help each other to live our faith through our families in an often hostile world. The NACF is founded on the Church’s rich family catechesis, particularly the New Testament, Humanae Vitae, Familiaris Consortio and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Family Days

The main way in which families give each other mutual support is through ‘Family Days’. These are held locally on a regular basis, where possible in a member’s home. A short talk is given, always based on the Church’s family catechesis, which aims to help us live our family vocation more fully.

Annual family pilgrimage to Walsingham

Encouraged by Pope St John Paul II, we are inspired by the Holy Family. We have an annual pilgrimage to Walsingham, the shrine of the Holy House of Nazareth. This is a major source of spiritual renewal that includes prayer, the Sacraments, talks for children and young people as well as parents, and walking the Holy Mile together. There is also the chance to relax and renew friendships during the barn dance, family concert and walks.

The 2026 pilgrimage will take place from the 23rd to the 24th of May. With camping available from the Friday afternoon to Monday morning. Please see info and booking for more details.

NACF Youth

We provide an opportunity for young people to grow in faith within the context of their families. Our events show young people that they are not alone in living the teachings of the Catholic Church, and over the years have fostered many strong and lasting friendships, marriages, vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Remembering Pope St John Paul II's invitation for young people to be the ‘saints of the new millennium’, NACF Youth helps young people to live their faith abundantly.

Parents as Primary Educators

As parents we insist upon our unique, God-given role as Primary Educators of our children. We help one another to carry out our right and our duty to pass the Faith on to our children.

Spiritual Support

For the spiritual and physical protection of our families we have regular prayer groups and we ask our member families to pray for each other. We are also hugely supported by the prayers and actions of many priests and religious across the globe.
