NBYC & RYA Instructor Development Day

We are delighted to be offering our 2026 Development Day, in association with the RYA, for our instructor team, and instructors from the local area. We're really looking forward to welcoming you all to NBYC - all Instructors welcome!
The day will include time both on and off the water, with a variety of different sessions available for personal development and training. Subjects being offered will include:
- Safety Boating Skills for Instructors
- On-Board Training
- Teaching Tidal elements of courses in Inland Centres (to include Digital First)
- Person Centred Approaches: Developing sessions for the group in front of you
- Feedback Models - Building feedback intrinsically to your sessions
- NBYC Procedures/Safeguarding Update Session (for NBYC Instructors)
Once your booking has been made, we will contact you nearer the time with a full list of sessions, and build the day's agenda around the preferences of those attending.
Teas, coffee and cake will be included in the day. A light lunch (hot soup) can be added to your booking for a small charge.
For NBYC instructors, NBYC will also make a contribution of £50 to cover your travel costs/time for those who would like to claim it. Please note on the next page if you would like to claim this. NBYC will also offer instructors a hot soup lunch included FOC.
