Barton Regatta 2026 - Sunday Social
Especially for the club's Centenary Year, we thought how lovely it would be to provide something truly unique.
This year on the Sunday Night of the Barton Regatta, we will be turning the pontoon into our very own movie theatre, and inviting you along for a special evening screening of the Arthur Ransome classic 'The Big Six' set on the Norfolk Broads and as broadcast on TV in 1984. In traditional Barton style, we will light up the broad with fairy lights (and we hope to see you decorating your boats with your own) and celebrate with Popcorn and a movie!
Please join us from 7.30 onwards, bringing dinghies only to the pontoon (Ferry boats will be available on request) the screening will start at 8.15 and is a 2 hour long movie.
There is no cost for this, but bring your change if you fancy some Popcorn to enjoy the movie with! Please book a ticket for each person you are expecting to come so that we can anticipate how much space we will need!
The Gun Punt will also be on display on the pontoon for anyone wanting to get up close and personal with the incredible boats that started it all!
