RYA Safety Boat Course
Welcome to the Home of Safety Boat courses for the Norfolk Punt Club!
This course is the more advanced, life saving course that the RYA runs, and is the reccomendation for supporting with safety boat duty for the Club.
You will need to have completed, and bring a copy of your Powerboat Level 2 to sign onto this course. Please ensure you are mobile enough to get in and out of the safety boats safely, and ready to learn and have a boat-load of fun! (See what I did there...). This course involves lifting people out of the water - if this is something you do not think you can do, you are welcome to attend but will not be able to pass the course. (You will however know all of the theory and skills, making you invaluable to people who have never recued before.)
The cost covers the coursebook, fuel and certificates and is heavily subsided by the Club and the Instructors who give their time to help you learn!
Places are limited; so first come ……
We need all the people we can get to be trained up and doing duties through the year to avoid having to cancel racing.
We would love for you to be one of the powerboat team!
Any questions - please contact Chief Safety Boat Instructor Ian Mason on ian@kjim.co.uk and he will happily support you.
THIS COURSE IS THE 26th AND 27th OF MARCH - YOU WILL NEED TO ATTEND BOTH DAYS.
(Thanks!)
