Fruit Tree Pruning
This workshop will be delivered by the East of England apple and orchard project at the Gressenhall Rural Life Museum.
The workshop will teach the principles of 'maintenance' fruit tree pruning, and will focus on trees that are more than ten years old.
There will also be a demonstration of the importance of formative pruning in the first years after planting.
The workshop will also look at sward management and the identification and nature friendly response to common orchard pests, diseases and physiological issues as trees age.
Two tutors will provide guidance during the day.
All tools and safety wear provided plus pruning guidance handouts. Attendees would need to bring their own gloves and wear stout shoes.
