Making a Dead Hedge
Dead hedging is a traditional way of making stock fencing. It is a sustainable and cost effective way of creating boundaries from waste. Good for the environment. Potentially increasing diversity and providing habitat for birds and small mammals.
The workshop provides a practical hands on experience for people interested in learning the principles and practice of dead hedge building.
Lunch in the form of soup, home made bread, cake and tea will be provided.
Warm clothing, thorn proof gloves and warm waterproof footwear are required.
Essential equipment will be provided but secateurs and a pitch fork would be useful.
