Natural Hazards Day Seminar. 8 October 2019.
Natural hazards continue to cause sleepless nights to both insurers and insureds alike. The questions for the energy industry specifically are whether these exposures are less or more significant to our industry generally, and what can we expect in the future?
Our panel of presenters, experts in their field, will review the historical losses to the energy industry from these incidents, and answer the questions around our specific exposures from not only the typical perils of earthquake, wind and flood, but other events such as wildfire and extreme rainfall.
We will look at the current state of play and emerging issues on natural hazards modelling, as well as what we can expect in the future as climate change augments frequency and severity.
