NEXT FILM NIGHT - 19th November

"Where the Crawdads Sing"

Our next Film Night is on Thursday, 19th November when we will be showing "Where the Crawdads Sing", a 2022 American mystery drama film, directed by Olivia Newman, based on the 2018 novel by Delia Owens.

Kya lives alone in the North Carolina marshes of the 1950s and 60s.

Abandoned by her parents and siblings when she was young, she learns to survive over time, embracing and understanding her beautiful surroundings, but is branded "The Marsh Girl" by the local townsfolk and shunned for being different. When the popular high school quarterback promises to marry her, Kya hopes to finally receive the love she’s always lacked.

But following a violent altercation, the quarterback turns up dead, and everyone suspects "The Marsh Girl."
