NEXT FILM NIGHT - 15th October

"D J AHMET"

Our next Film Night is on Thursday, 15th October when we will be showing "DJ Ahmet", a 2025 drama film, which follows the life of Ahmet, a 15-year-old boy from a remote Yurok village in rural North Macedonia.

Ahmet has a lot on his plate after the loss of his mother, including herding sheep and caring for his kid brother. Weighed down by his father’s rules, he’s also bound by his conservative wider community. He finds an unlikely refuge in techno music, which brings him closer to his neighbour Aya who has returned from Germany to be married off to an older man in the village; he’s bashful and adorable; she’s worldly-wise.

The film had its world premiere at the World Cinema Competition section of the 2025 Sundance Film Festival where it won the section's Audience Award.

COMING FILMS

Over the season, we will be showing a wide range of films that include next month "Where the Crawdads Sing", a 2022 American mystery drama film and in December, "A Complete Unknown", a 2024 American biographical film about the early career of American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, and in March "The Old Man and the Gun", a 2018 American crime caper film, starring Robert Redford in his last film.

TICKETS AND INTERVAL FOOD

Our film nights are held in Sheet Village Hall from 7.00pm onwards. A cashless bar serves drinks before the film and during the interval. Food, for delivery from the Queen's Head at the interval, can be pre-purchased online from our menu which includes a variety of pizzas (including vegan options), calamari with fries, BLT ciabatta or mozzarella ciabatta with fries.

Please reserve your Patron and Patron Guest tickets in advance. Member tickets (£4) and Non-Member tickets (£6.50) should be purchased in advance using the link below. Tickets can also be purchased on the door but subject to availability.

As a Patron, you pay £45 and enjoy free admission to all ten film screenings from September to the end of June plus two free guest tickets to use during the season. As Member, you pay £15 and pay a reduced £4 ticket price for each screening.
