NEXT FILM - THURSDAY 19th MARCH

"ONE LIFE"

Last Sunday, we joined with 50+ independent cinemas nationwide in premiering Molly vs THE MACHINES, a powerful documentary that reveals how social media’s hidden forces shape the lives of young people today. Molly vs THE MACHINES is a vital conversation starter about online safety, Big Tech, and the urgent need to protect our children in a digital world.

For those that were unable to see the film on Sunday, Molly vs THE MACHINES, described by The Times as a film every parent should watch, will be available to view on Channel 4 at 9pm on Thursday 5th March.

Proceeds from Sunday's showing, totalling £200, will be donated to the Molly Rose Foundation. For more information about the story of Molly Russell and the work of the Foundation, follow the link to https://mollyrosefoundation.org

OUR NEXT FILM NIGHT

On Thursday 19th March at 7.30pm, we will be showing "One Life", a 2023 biographical drama film telling the true story of Nicky Winton (Johnny Flynn), a young London broker who visits Prague in1938 and convinces the British Committee for Refugees to rescue hundreds of predominantly Jewish children before Nazi occupation closes the borders.

Fifty years later, Nicky (Anthony Hopkins) is haunted by the fate of the children he wasn't able to bring to safety in England. It's not until the BBC show "That's Life!" re-introduces him to some of those he helped rescue that he finally begins to come to terms with the guilt and grief he carried.

"One Life" had its world première in 2023.
