Lake Pier Club Night Canoe session   iCal entry for this event

Open Canoe paddling session - Playtime / Wet stuff / Rescues

Wednesday Evening (8th July). Lake Pier unless otherwise stated.  . Suitable for any member with some experience of open boat paddling - preferably of minimum of Explore (2*) skill level, but this is a great opportunity to make use of good tides, slighty warmer sea water, and learning from or helping other paddlers.

This should be a lot of fun as well as really good safety stuff - a rescue might be simply how to work out the best way to swim a boat ashore, or maybe how to rescue another canoe using tandem paddlers, or working out the best way for YOU to get back into your own boat after a swim. Please come, and have some fun with a purpose :-)

Club boats usually available (via Webcollect) for hire, if you don't have your own.

Meet Lake Pier (ready to be on water) at 6.30pm Off about 9.00pm. IF NO SPACES AVAILABLE, PLEASE CONTACT ME - to add more space!

NB If you're a Canoe Leader or Coach, any offers to lead or assist on these sessions will be appreciated. Plan is for a rotation of leader on as many Wednesdays evenings as poss. So if any Leaders available to commit to regular Wednesday - please let me know.

If you are a complete beginner to Open Canoes, but keen to give them a try, PLEASE get in touch and we can sort out a suitable intro session for you. Rose 07973 297337)
