Kayak and Bellboat Taster Sessions Sunday 27th August
Richmond Canoe Club welcomes new adult beginners to come and try kayaking or bell boating on Sunday August 27th.
In the kayaking session you will be able to try our beginner level individual racing kayaks. There will be plenty of instructors and helpers on hand to ensure you can get the most out of your 45 minute session.
In the bellboats you will be using a canoe paddle in a big group canoe style boats.
We are running a number of sessions throughout the day for adults to come and try kayaking or bell boats.

Your session will begin on the water promptly at the time specified so please arrive at the club fifteen minutes before the start of your session and assemble in the club house upstairs for registration.
General sportswear/ running clothes are fine, please do not wear any heavy items of clothing.
We recommend the following, depending on the conditions:
- Pair of old trainers or plimsolls. Water shoes are best if you have these (You may well be standing in the river – your feet will get wet)
- Tracksuit bottoms, leggings or shorts – Jeans are not appropriate
- T-shirt or thermal top
- Cagoule or a thin water proof and windproof top
- Towel
- You will get wet so you should have a change of clothes to put on after the session
There are showers and changing rooms at the club to use.
Drinks and cake will be available to purchase from the galley after your session.
Please note the booking system requires you to fill out a membership form first before details for the course are collected.
