Membership Categories & Subscriptions October 2024

Individual Member
Membership is valid between 1st October and 30th September each year. A member receives a 15% discount off all drinks purchases if funds are loaded onto their gold card account.
£295 for each year or DD £26 per month
Family Member
Membership is valid between 1st October and 30th September each year. Both members receive a 15% discount off all drinks purchases if funds are loaded onto their gold card account. Both members are deemed to reside at the same address.
£450 for each year or DD £39 per month
Overseas Member
Membership is valid between 1st October and 30th September each year. Members receive a 15% discount off all drinks purchases if funds are loaded onto their gold card account. Overseas members are deemed to reside outside of the UK.
£400 for each year
Crew Member
Membership is valid between 1st October and 30th September each year. A crew member receives 5% discount off all drinks purchases if funds are loaded onto their gold card account. Crew membership has no voting rights and is only available to new members who are actively crewing on a RTYC boat. This membership must be proposed and seconded by both the RCS & RCC where appropriate. It is not possible to change from a full member to a crew member.
£75 for each year
Full Member under 35 years of age
As per Individual member but aged under 35 years on the 1st October on the year of joining.
£175 for each year
Interim Member – 1 year only

Interim membership is intended for applicants that are not known to existing members and applicants will be requested to attend an interview rather than being proposed and seconded by existing members.

Crew
Annual End Date: 30th SeptemberThis category of membership is for individuals actively participating in sailing on club members' boats. To qualify for Crew membership your application has to be sponsored by the owner of the yacht and countersigned by the Rear Commodore Sailing or Rear Commodore Cruising. Crew membership entitles you to a categorised discount on bar prices.
Full members cannot change category to Crew membership.
Interim Trial
Annual End Date: 30th Septemberpro-rata price for 1/12 ⇒ 31/12
This category of membership is for prospective new members aged 35 and over who do not have any established connections with existing members. It will allow members to experience and enjoy being a member of the RTYC for 12 months until they can establish a relationship with members and continue on to become a full member of the club.
