CPGA Racing Rules apply throughout.
All rowers must be:
18+ on the day of the event.
A GigRower Member (this also includes coxes).
Members of your club – composite and mixed crews are NOT permitted.
The non-refundable entry fee of £60 per crew, agreed with the CPGA, is set and received by
the club to go towards the overheads and expenses required to run the event.
In order to run this event, participating clubs will be required to put forward a loan gig for the
championship. Failure to offer or provide a gig requested may result in your entry being
declined. All gigs loaned must be seaworthy, feature safety equipment and have long painters
(bowline/stern line) aboard. Gigs are loaned in good faith and therefore all coxswains should
have a good level of competence (no novice coxswains please).
Loan boats will contain cushions and pins provided by the respective clubs, but each crew
will need to provide their own oars, spare pins and a working VHF radio. Please bring a set of
oars for each crew. It will not be possible for rowers or coxswains to compete in more than
one category.
Crews must be the same 6 rowers – there cannot be a rotation of rowers within a squad.
A weather check will take place by midday on Friday 5th June. There will be no refunds
available if the event is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. Please note: This event will be filmed and photographed. By entering this event, competitors
consent to footage and photographs being made publicly available in line with the CPGA
Terms and Conditions. To find out more please visit www.cpga.co.uk/about/policies
