RYA Power Boat Level 2  

2 day course - 1st and 2nd August

This course is suitable for beginners and you do not need to hold a Level 1 certificate. The aim of this course is to be a self-sufficient powerboater in the right conditions, aware of your own limitations and those of the craft  The ratio for these course is 3 students to 1 instructor.  

Provides the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. It aims to teach boat handling and seamanship in powerboats. It focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations.

(Candidates under the age of 16 will be issued with an endorsed certificate)
