Club Halloween Paddle, River Hull at Tickton, Saturday 31st October 2026

Meet at Tickton at 09.30, on the water for 10.00, finish paddle at 14.00
As this paddle is taking place on Halloween, participants are encouraged to get into the "spirit" of the occasion and dress in a little bit of "spooky" costume and decorate their boat in Halloween style if desired. Whilst this is not a mandatory requirement there will be a small prize on offer for the most "bewitching" or "ghostly" paddler.
An easy paddle along a lovely stretch of the River Hull. After a briefing we will put in under the road bridge at Tickton. We will slowly head north along the river towards the High Eske and Tophill Low Nature Reserves. There are many boat moorings along this stretch and there may be some boat traffic. The will be lots of opportunities for wildlife spotting as we paddle through the countryside.
When we have been paddling for approximately 2 hours we will get out on the bank for refreshments and a stretch of the legs. After this, we will turn around and slowly progress back to the start point.
Debrief and refreshments can be arranged in the Crown and Anchor pub at 14.30hrs.
