Welcome to Shotley Peninsula Swimming Club

Our Club is a non -profit organisation run by its members.  We formed in 2004 for the local community to take advantage of the then new indoor swimming pool at Ipswich High School at Woolverstone near Ipswich.  Since then we have welcomed people living nearby, as well as members coming from Ipswich and further afield.

We are not a competitive / training club, we are a community social swimming club providing lane swimming for adult members of all ages and capabilities.   To join you need to be over 18, able to swim and be prepared to abide by the Club rules. We expect all swimmers to respect our differences and to be considerate of other members at all times so that everyone can enjoy the exercise at their own pace.  If you are a competitive swimmer you may have to moderate your speed to accomodate other members.

Following the Covid 19 pandemic we had to make a number of changes and reduced the number of sessions available. We operate a waiting list for all sessions. We still swim Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings every week except for Bank Holidays and a 2 week break over Christmas.

New members can apply to join at any time.  For more details and to apply click on the More Information button below.

For all other queries  please email info@spsc.email .  As the club is run by member volunteers we may take a little while to reply but will respond to you as soon as possible.
