WFYC is a beautifully located and historical clubhouse which was first established in 1908. The club has evolved from a Royal Navy observation tower and a collection of ex-army huts to a purpose-built clubhouse and RYA Training Centre hosting a number of social events and fun for all the family!

Located at Walton-on-the-Naze, it hosts a stunning setting not only for dinghy sailing, cruising or many other watersports activities, but also for a family friendly day out, having a bite to eat and enjoying the fabulous views across the river!

We are a family-friendly and sociable club, always offering new members a warm welcome with open arms. We offer a wide range of both sailing and social activities offering great fun for members all year round including Cruiser and Dinghy Events. We also run RYA Training Courses for all levels and ages.

The clubhouse hosts a fantastic venue with excellent bar and catering services not only for our members to enjoy but also for private or corporate events for members and non-members.

We cannot forget the most important element at WFYC – the people. Whether you are a cruiser or a racer, you’ll find plenty of like-minded people in our ‘family’ and be made to feel very welcome.
