Learn to sail in the school holidays!!
We run 2 day sailing course during the school holidays, catering for all abilities and for ages 8 -16 years
We follow the RYA youth syllabus. Sessions are taught by RYA instructors in a fun and supportive environment, through a mixture of formal and informal practical and theory sessions. Our goal is to get the best out of all our students during their time with us and RYA certification is awarded upon successful completion of the syllabus.

Course content
RYA Youth Stage 2: This booking is part of the Stages 1,2 course running on 27th-31st July 2026. For those with little or no sailing experience. Content: launching and recovery, sailing across the wind, turning around, steering and basic parts of the boat.
Assumed knowledge: little or no sailing experience. These are the first two stages of the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme, aimed at beginners and those who are new to sailing and this is a fantastic opportunity to do basics whilst having lots of fun on the water.
Welsh Harp Sailing Club operates an adaptive teaching policy so if we feel that you are making rapid progress, we will be able to accelerate your learning with more challenging activities to master.
Course costs
£85 for members for this 2 day course
£115 for non-members for this 2 day course.
We offer a £60 discount on membership subscription if non-members decide to join following completion of the course.
Age
This course is aimed at juniors aged 8-16 years old.
