WPSC Watersports Come & Try it & Picnic 12/07/2025
We're working in partnership with Cambois Rowing Club, Ashington Sea Cadets and Ashington Town Council (and hopefully Newbiggin Coastguard) to put on a Paddle Sports taster afternonn.
There will be 2 sessions:
Session 1 participants arrive at 12:30 - they get kitted up and on the water, have a great time in rafted canoes, and then in tandem canoes or sit-on-top kayaks. They are off the water at 2:30.
Session 2 arrive at 14.00, get kitted up and on the water, have a great time, and are off the water at 16.30.
Hopefully people will try to make an afternoon of it - families can come with a picnic, some paddle and some don't. We will provide some refreshments to add to the fun. Paddling equipment provided by the club but come with a change of clothing and footwear for being on the water, and towel in case you need to dry off.
Anyone who is going on the water has to have booked through this system and completed the participation forms that accompany the booking. Open to any age, though under 12's need to be accompanied on the water by a Parent/ Guardian, under 18's need parental consent.
