Dartmouth Day Paddle   iCal entry for this event

Club Paddle Adventure – Dartmouth Estuary & Coastline Explorer!

Meet at club house for 8am, later return and possible stop for tea on the way home at a pub.

Open to Kayaks and tandem canoe paddling. If paddling a canoe, please make sure you have a tandem partner to pair up with.

Join us for a stunning day paddle exploring the beautiful Dartmouth estuary and coastline—a fantastic trip for those looking to stretch their legs (or arms!) and build up a bit more distance.

We’ll set off from the Darthaven marina and head out to enjoy the mix of calm estuary waters and coastal scenery. There’s maybe the exciting option to paddle across to the Mew Stone, where we may be lucky enough to spot the local seal colony! We'll then paddle a bit further to have lunch on a secluded beach before making our way back.

After working up an appetite, we’ll return towards Dartmouth Castle, where you can treat yourself to a well-earned ice cream or even a cream tea before heading back to the marina. This is a longer day paddle that may gently challenge your stamina—a lovely way to increase your distance while enjoying incredible surroundings.

Getting There

Help with transport and moving boats if you can. If you're getting a lift, a contribution towards petrol costs will be needed.

What to Bring

  2. Stay within sight of a leader at all times
  3. Don’t paddle off without agreement
  4. Keep an eye out for others—fatigue and cold can sneak up
  5. Be ready to help if needed—everyone plays a part in safety
