Saturday Short Clubhouse Social Paddle
Saturday 28th November 9am - 12:30pm
This enjoyable paddle begins at the clubhouse and follows the beautiful River Axe towards the road bridge. Suitable for all abilities, it offers a gentle and relaxing journey through the river’s stunning surroundings, providing the perfect opportunity to take in the sights and sounds of nature while building confidence on the water. Along the way, paddlers can enjoy friendly conversation, connect with fellow participants, and share a positive paddling experience in a supportive and welcoming environment.
If weather and sea conditions permit, there may also be opportunities to paddle out to sea and explore the coastline along the seafront, offering a unique perspective of the local area from the water. Please note that all paddles are dependent on suitable weather, river, and sea conditions. To ensure the safety of all participants, sessions may need to be amended or cancelled at short notice if conditions become unsuitable.
As we move into the autumn and winter months, it is important to dress appropriately, as conditions can be very different from summer paddling. We recommend bringing:
- Warm thermal base layers (top and bottoms)
- A warm mid-layer
- A spare warm top in case you take an unexpected swim
- A woolly hat
- A warm drink and fluids
- Snacks
- Warm, dry clothes to change into after the paddle
Boats used ; All craft
As weather conditions and water levels can change quickly at this time of year, please be aware that the trip may need to be altered or cancelled at short notice. We will always do our best to make a decision as early as possible and keep everyone informed.
Leader for this trip will be: Deb Stamp and they can be contacted on 07738306557 - if you have any questions.
BOOKINGS WILL CLOSE THE FRIDAY BEFORE AT 6PM
If you book onto any trip and then change you mind, please let the leader know as soon as possible so that we don't expect you to arrive.
We look forward to seeing you on the water!
