CONNINGBROOK LAKES: Wednesday After School Weekly Dinghy Sailing Club: per half of term
The Wednesday after school weekly dinghy sailing club is for school children aged 8-18 supervised by qualified instructors with safety boat at all times on the water.
Reservations are for each half of the term which are 5 sessions before half term and 7 session after half term

Cost is £100 for the first half of term and £140 for the second half of term plus 2025 enrolment of £15 per person (if not already enrolled for 2025 via membermojo.co.uk/cinqueports)
There will be two qualified dinghy instructors plus other team members. Participants will be put into a group according to their sailing ability. Beginners are also welcome and we encourage the weekly sailing which sees rapid progression in sailing skills through regular sailing practice.
During each half of term we help participants progress with their sailing skills supervised by RYA qualified instructors.
The after school dinghy sailing club helps participants gain skills and confidence in sailing.
The instructors will cater to the sailing needs of the participants who may be put into two groups according to experience (group A: stage 1 and 2 standard, and group B: stage 3 and 4 standard).
RYA certificates are awarded when participants attend an RYA course as per the calendar which are generally at weekends or in the school holidays/half term. Please speak with an instructor who can advise on which appropriate course to attend. The after school dinghy sailing club will help hone skills ready to attend a particular RYA course.
At the same time as the after school sessions, we will offer sailing tasters with a limit of 2 attending. This is an opportunity for school friends to be invited and try out sailing. See calendar to book a taster sailing place.
Participants also need to be enrolled via membermojo.co.uk/cinqueports where they can also download their club membership card. If you have previously enrolled, please log in and check that details are up to date.
Up to one missed session only per half of term may be caught up by attending a weekend sailing session or half term or summer holiday session equivalent in length to the session missed. There are no deductions or refunds for any sessions missed as our costs per session remain the same.
There is no rolling over of missed sessions after the end of August 2025. Pre-registration is needed for any catch up sessions.
Arrive anytime at Conningbrook Lakes from 3.45/4pm onwards whenever you can after school finishes.
Collection is by 6.30pm from Conningbrook Lakes.
Parents/Adults who are already proficient sailors are welcome to sail recreationally at the same time by enquiring via cinqueportssailing@gmail.com There will be a boat hire cost involved of £12 per session. Parents/Adults may also hire a paddleboard - cost is £12 per session and £12 per board hire. Own paddleboards may also be brought by adults. We also have a season pass available for £38 for those adults with their own paddleboards. All participants need to be enrolled via membermojo.co.uk/cinqueports
Children need to have their own wetsuits. There are reasonably priced ones available in sports shops and supermarkets during the watersports season.
Bring a helmet to wear (bike helmets are ok), towel, wear neoprene beach shoes or old trainers. A swimsuit needs to be worn underneath the wetsuit. Please bring your own hand sanitizer. Have a change of clothes for afterwards and a warm top.
Suncream may need to be worn, and bring your own water bottle!
Buoyancy aids will be provided or bring your own (subject to checking of buoyancy aid by instructor).
