New Members Evening
The DHPC are having a New Members (Meet the Coaches) evening.
Wednesday 17th April 2019 from 7:30pm-10pm.
This will be at Tilsworth Golf Centre, LU7 9PU - 100yds off the main A5, north of Dunstable.
This evenong session is geared especially towards new low airtime pilots as well as more experienced pilots new to the club, who have not flown at the Downs yet.
It's always a good idea to meet other pilots who are at the same stage as you in their flying career, whether to share experiences or even car sharing to various sites.
Coaches will be giving a talk on various aspects and techniques for flying at Dunstable as well as more in depth subjects like pilot and site preparation, risk factors, thermal trigger points, techniques for flying the ridge, as well as launching over the dreaded Fence!
You will also be able to ask anything that concerns you about the Downs. This is very much a question and answer session.
As an added bonus - members attending the evening who haven't done the Airspace Briefing will be get an Airspace Helmet Sticker in order to fly at the Downs - (if you haven't got it already). So if you haven't passed the Airspace Briefing yet - now's your chance!
As the Spring arrives we tend to get more flyable days and smooth evening flying, so start to make the most of these lovely flying days and start building your airtime!
Food/drink is available in the Bar, but get there a bit early if your need any food, and we meet in the main bar on arrival. Don't miss it all!
This event is FREE but please book a place so we know who is attending on the night.
