Welcome to Horsea Island Senior Rates and Officers Mess
The Horsea Island Senior Rates' and Officers' Mess is located in the Horsea Island mess facilities area in order to provide messing for all Senior Ratings and Officers working on Horsea Island, as well as to act as a focal mess for the Royal Navy and Army Diving Branches.
Membership
Membership of the Mess will consist of Full, Associate and Honorary tiers:
Full Membership. Full membership is open to:
- Full: A full member whose primary workplace (including courses) is Horsea Island, and who does not live in a service mess.
- Full - Dual Mess: A full member whose primary workplace is Horsea Island but is resident during the working week in a service mess and who is also a member of that mess.
- Full - Fleet and Field Army Member: A full member whose primary workplace is not Horsea Island and who is a member of a service mess elsewhere.
Associate Membership. Associate membership is open to:
- Associate: An associate member (i.e. not eligible for full membership) whose primary workplace (including courses) is Horsea Island.
- Associate - Veteran: An associate member who is a veteran of the Armed Forces of their respective country.
Honorary. Honorary membership as conferred by the Mess President.
