The RYA SRC course takes you through the essentials to effectively, and legally, use your VHF radio equipment – with or without DSC fitted. The bottom line is that if you have a boat with a VHF radio, or a handheld VHF (as you should do!), you need to do this course to gain your operator’s certificate.

We offer the course both online and in the classroom, although for both options you’ll need to do an in-person exam. For classroom courses, we run these exams at the end of the day. For online courses, you’ll need to organise one with us – but you are also welcome to go to any training centre to do this.
