Sailing Taster Sessions
In this event you can book a sailing taster session, a great way to experience sailing before progressing the sport further with an RYA course
All our sailing taster sessions are 2 hours long, of which approximately 1 & 1/2 hours is spent on the water with one of our assistant instructors in the boat with you.
New dates added frequently, about 6 weeks in advance.
Sessions are run in most weather conditions, including rain, but sometimes we do have to postpone if the weather is not suitable (more often then not it's due to no wind rather than too much).
We'll provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids and helmets(for juniors).
We ask that you bring the following;
- Suitable footwear such as trainers - these will get wet!
- Towel to dry off afterwards
- Swimwear - for under the provided wet suit
- Lockers for valuables are available, you will need a £1 (returnable) to use these.
Sessions must be booked in advance.
Minimum age 8 yrs
Please arrive 5 minutes before the session start time at the Waterside Reception (front of the Clubhouse). Use the first car park on the right as you enter the site, marked Draycote Water Sailing Club .
