North Wales WW Weekend: 16-18 January 2026
The events team invite you to join them for a great weekend of open canoe adventure in North Wales. We'll be staying at Glan-llyn Isa, a new location on the shore of Llyn Tegid, near Bala, giving us access the Dee, Vyrnwy, Banwy as well as some beautiful estuaries if the rain has gone awry.
Cost: £130
Price includes bunkhouse style accommodation for Friday & Saturday nights.
Included is breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings and a 2 course dinner Saturday evening. Vegetarian and other dietary requirements are available. If you have particular dietary needs please get in touch with the organiser.
You’ll need to provide your own lunches. Friday evening is self catering, some people go to the pub, others cook at the centre. You might need money for parking and launch fees for some day trips
This venue is convenient for many top class canoeing locations including:
- The trustworthy Dee
- The lovely Banwy
- Quieter bits of the Glaslyn
- The exciting Vyrnwy
Plenty of choice depending on the conditions! If for some unlikely reason we cannot go WW canoeing, we have Lake Tegid and a few estuary options. Qualified leaders will be on hand to lead small groups at various locations depending on conditions.
We will be offering the opportunity for those who are new to moving water to join us. If you have little or no experience on moving water and would like to be part of this group, then please get in contact. Places in this group be limited to 5 - only those who request a place will be included.
Unless you are part of the novice group. please make sure you are capable of paddling at the grade and have all the correct equipment, including boat buoyancy.
