RYA 8 Hour First Aid Courses 2022
We are working to the current Covid-19 guidelines and are presently running RYA courses with reduced numbers, social distancing, increased cleaning and measures to avoid sharing equipment.
The course is suitable for all and meets the requirements for RYA Instructors and British Canoeing Sheltered Water Instructors and Coaches.
Participants will be issued with a current edition of the RYA First Aid Manual. We will provide tea / coffee and biscuits, please bring your own packed lunch.
The course covers:
- CPR to current protocols
- Defibrillator training
- Drowning
- Prioritising and Stabilising Casualties
- Bleeding
- Hypovolemic Shock
- Exposure and Immersion Hypothermia
- Cold Water Shock
- Monitoring Casualties
- Breathing Difficulties
- Fractures & Dislocations
