RYA First Aid Courses 2024
The 8 hour course is suitable for all and meets the requirements for RYA Instructors and British Canoeing Sheltered Water Instructors and Coaches. The course also covers all of the content from the Emergency First Aid at Work Course.
Participants will be issued with a current edition of the RYA First Aid Manual. We will provide tea / coffee and biscuits, please bring your own packed lunch.

- Prioritising and Stabilising Casualties
- Bleeding
- Hypovolemic Shock
- Exposure and Immersion Hypothermia
- Cold Water Shock
- Monitoring Casualties
- Breathing Difficulties
- Fractures & Dislocations

(£80 for Phoenix CC members and WHSA member organisations / £30 for Current PCC Coaches)
We run the majority if these courses at Phoenix Outdoor Centre, but from time to time we use a training room at Welsh Harp Sailing Club located further up the reservoir. We will be in contact with all course bookees before the course date with pre-course information and to confirm the course location.
