Stand Up Paddleboard Introduction
We are running a series of SUP introduction courses for anyone who wants to use a board at the Club or on inland water. We have a fleet of Jobe inflatable SUP’s and some BIC rigid SUP boards that can be used at the Club or you can bring your own suitable board. The 3 hour induction will cover the basics of caring for your board, carrying board and paddle, practical paddling techniques, safety, affects of weather and environment, avoidance of other craft, self-rescue, a short journey and some fun and games. After successfully completing the introduction you will be able to use the SUP boards on Club days, subject to Club membership payment or use your own board at other suitable venues.
