2024 - Sailing / Yacht Clubs Associate Members

• You will be purchasing an Associate Membership for your child to sail in an allocated time slot within your Associate Group slot during 2024, from May to October. 

• The payment process takes approx. ten days and upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email, after which you may contact your club co-ordinator to arrange your first sailing session.

• Please note that during your Associate slot, you do not have exclusive use of the club and Salterns Full Member families may also be in attendance, albeit on a different slipway/ pontoon and perhaps using different boats.

• The maximum age for joining as an Associate Member is 10 years old (on 31 August 2023 i.e. up to and including school Year 6).

• Associate Member (child sailor) should be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.

• Except for an adult acting in loco parentis, who are attending the club in order to supervise the Associate Member (and who should sign the guest book accordingly), guests of Associate Members are not permitted.

• Siblings of Associate Members may not participate (even as guests or helpers) unless also an Associate Member.

• As a Salterns Associate Member you will have access of the club's plastic Optimists, scows and rowing boats. 

• Associate Members and their supervising parent / guardian do not have access to the clubhouse.

• Salterns Sailing Club do not offer refunds or pro-rota rates, which is also applicable to Associate Members.

• Please note there is no Associate Sailing when Salterns is running its Moppy Camp as an RYA training centre - dates to be advised.
