2025 - Sailing/Yacht Club Associate Members  

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK ONTO AN EVENT WITHOUT FIRST SPEAKING TO YOUR SALTERNS SAILING CLUB COORDINATOR AT YOUR CLUB

1. You will be purchasing an Associate Membership for your child to sail in an allocated time slot within your Affiliate Group slot during 2025, from April 2025 to October 2025.
2. Sessions for Sailing and Yacht Club Affiliate Groups run only during term time and, for those groups, use of the Club (and its parking facilities) is not permitted in school holidays.
3. The webcollect payment process takes approx. ten days and upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email, after which you may contact your club co-ordinator to arrange your first sailing session.
4. Please note that during your Associate slot, you do not have exclusive use of the club and Salterns Full Member families may also be in attendance, albeit on a different slipway/ pontoon and perhaps using different boats.
5. The maximum age for joining as an Associate Member is 10 years old (on 31 August 2024 i.e. up to and including school Year 6).
6. Associate Member (child sailor) should be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.
7. Except for an adult acting in loco parentis, who are attending the club in order to supervise the Associate Member (and who should sign the guest book accordingly), guests of Associate Members are not permitted.
8. Siblings of Associate Members may not participate (even as guests or helpers) unless also an Associate Member.
9. As a Salterns Associate Member you will have access of the club's plastic Optimists, scows and rowing boats. 
10. Associate Members and their supervising parent / guardian do not have access to the clubhouse.
11. Salterns Sailing Club do not offer refunds or pro-rota rates, which is also applicable to Associate Members.
