Go Row Indoor – Your Fitness Fix for 2026
Learn how to use the best piece of fitness equipment on the planet: suitable for almost every body and a great whole-body workout.
Created by British Rowing, Go Row Indoor is a new kind of group exercise class similar to spin classes but using rowing machines, creating a class that is fun, simple to learn, low impact and minute-for-minute burns more calories than almost any other exercise.
The classes combine indoor rowing with circuit-based exercises, and cater to people of all ages and fitness levels - whether you’re looking to improve your fitness after illness or a break from exercising, or push yourself with a new challenge in 2026.
York City Rowing Club are launching Go Row Indoor classes in January 2026. Each session will be coached by British Rowing certified rowers from the Club.
What To Expect
Each session lasts around 60 minutes, and will include an introduction to the rowing machine, coaching on technique and a warm up, followed by exercise sessions on the machine and the gym floor.
Rowers from York City Rowing Club will be running the sessions, and will be on hand to offer friendly advice on technique and encouragement to help you achieve your goals.
The structure of the sessions means everyone can work at their own pace, allowing you to set yourself a personal goal you look to work towards.
