Welcome to Leeds Beekeepers Association

Leeds Beekeepers Association is a large, active group of 200+ beekeepers, ranging from the ‘just started’ to the 50+ hive bee farmer with 30 years experience.  I am sure that among us, you will find members who have similar interests to yourself.  In addition to the support of other beekeepers, there are many benefits of membership including access to discounted beekeeping supplies.

We also offer beginners courses throughout the year encompassing theory and practical sessions, for those wishing to learn more about beekeeping and, improver sessions for more experienced beekeepers, which include practical sessions and refreshers on popular topics.

We have a large apiary at the Temple Newsam Estate where we meet on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer for lots of “bee talk” and on the second Saturday of the month (usually) throughout the year.  We hold our winter meetings with guest speakers covering bee related topics and sometimes demonstrations at St. Theresa’s Church, Newman Centre, Station Road, Crossgates, Leeds, LS15 7JY. or via Zoom.  A full timetable of events for the year can be found on our website.
