River Cruiser Open 2026
We look forward to welcoming visiting River Cruisers back to Barton Broad for a weekend of fantastic racing at the NPC's Centenary River Cruiser Open on 6 and 7 June 2026. Results to count for the Sabrina and Snowbird RCC trophies.
Briefing Saturday at 1pm, races at 2pm and 4pm
Races Sunday 10.00am and 12pm
Starts will be for faster (A) and slower (B) boats, the fleet split to be decided once entries are complete.
Racing for the following:
The White Horse Trophy overall winner
Barton Broad Cruiser Challenge Trophy winner of the A fleet
Moonshadow Knob for the winner of the B fleet
The Achievement Trophy highest placed yacht on a handicap of 0 or higher
Races will take place in accordance with the RYA rules and NPC Sailing Instructions. In light of the recent changes to RRS, NPC has been asked by the RCC Committee to make clear that 'For the purposes of definition of 'Start' and 'Finish' and rules 21.1, 29.1, 30 and 44.2 of the RRS (but not any other rules) the term 'hull' includes a boats bowsprit in its normal position.
Tea, Coffee and Cake will be available throughout the day, cash or card accepted.
There will be an informal bring your own BBQ on the pontoon for sailors and crew on Saturday evening from around 6.30pm, weather permitting.
